I know this is kind of late notice, but we have a show on Saturday, March 11th at 7 oclock at Ted's Garage (2309 5th Ave. South). This is a benefit for everyone hit by that damn Katrina bitch. The cost is 6 dollars, and please bring EVERYONE YOU KNOW.
Everyone needs to come, because we will rock the place...HARD.

Despite what many may think, closerthanthis is alive and well!
We've been playing a few shows, which have gone quite well, and continuing to face the task of recording a cd.
We need your help, though. On January 28th, we will be playing a show at Cool Beans Coffeehouse in Homewood with CARTEL...The Ackleys...and Dorean Lives. The show costs 6 dollars and is at 7:00 and we need EVERYONE to come and rock out with us being this show is going to be HUGE! We need everyone to help is rock the house. This means singing along, dancing, and going crazy.

Hello all,
We would like to thank everyone for rocking with us at Amanda's. We know it's been a while since our last show, but we'd also like to thank you for your patience. Hopefully we won't have any more of these huge gaps between shows.
Recording is still underway, and hopefully we will have a new show lined up within the next few weeks.

Hey there, friends.
First off, we all want to thank everyone for coming out to the show Friday night. It was quite a good turnout given the circumstances.It means so much to us to see everyone's smiling face.Thanks also to Cave 9 for having us.
Second, we have another show on the way. On June 27th, we will be rocking the DF on Lorna Road with Salesman, Desert City Soundtrack, and Settlefish. This show is sure to be fun, and we would love to see everyone there.
The final topic to be addressed is one of grave importance. As we said recently, we are in the process of creating a new work of art. Now, when writing a CD, there are many things to take into consideration. You see, writing a CD is like constructing a skyscraper. When you press a button on the elevator, you will be taken to a certain floor, which holds a unique floorplan and layout for you to explore and embrace. In the same respect, when writing a CD, one must make sure any song that the listener selects brings them to a different mindset. A different level of interpretation. A different floor of the building. closerthanthis has always been a band about one thing: creating art that allows the listener to be carried through his or her own life, or building. In order to help us build YOUR building, we are putting out an offer. We are asking you to tell us what you would like to hear (musically, lyrically, rythmically) on this new CD. Help us design the frame work!

Hello to all! Hope everyone is doing very well. Spring is upon us, and more than just the weather is changing. We've been hard at work with new material and we hope everyone will enjoy the fruits of our labor. Shows are sparse this time of year, we apologize for that. Everyone is quite busy, wrapping up school and working hard as well. But let me assure you, there will be something to show for this time. We have a house show on April 16th. That's right, a house show. Which means .closerthanthis will be bringing in the dance. But we can't do that without some help.
Directions for this show are on the way. If anyone knows these directions, they are welcome to post them.
We will also have more EP's for sale soon, so if you haven't had a chance to pick one up, you will in the near future!
